TOOLS

Creating quality plastering and drywall is a skill. We at Bosco Plastering have learned the profession the right way. We have learned hrough years of hard work and through the trained eyes of older professionals. Here is a sampling of the tools we use to make your walls and ceiling naturally beautiful.

Corner Trowel

The corner trowel is used to create precise inside corners when installing drywall.

Plaster Mold

The plaster mold is used to create decorative moldings. You can see the profile of the molding in the shape of the tool.

Scratcher

Plaster does not stick very well to smooth surfaces. This tool is used to scratch the surface of the bottom layers of plaster so that the next layer will stick well.

Filt Brush

The filt brush is made of cotton and wool and is used for the finish coat. It makes for a nice smooth surface.

Plaster Hawk

The plaser hand is like a tray with a handle on it. We use it to hold the plaster on while working the walls and ceilings.

Brush

Not a unique tool but a with an unusual usage. We use it to smoothen the finish coat in hard to reach places.

Float

The float is used for inside corners for the finish coat.

Margin Trowel

This tool is used to mix plaster.

Whiper

The whiper is used to mix large quantities of plaster at the same time. It attaches to a regular drill and rotates in a bucket with the plaster.

Darby

The darby is used to make a wall or ceiling straight. The length of it makes a straight a plane surface.
