Chicago Plaster Ceiling Services
The first thing when working on ceilings is to building a platform to work on.

We start out by examining the condition of the ceiling and removing loose plaster.

When removing loose plaster, the damage may be bigger then visable before. In this case, large pieces of loose plaster came out.

After removal of loose plaster, we nail up wire lath onto the ceiling studs to have something to support the new ceiling.

The first plastering work is to fill out the hole that the loose plaster caused and give it a scratch coat.

Here is some scratching going on with a fork like tool. The scratching is done to ensure the bond of the second coat.

Here we are putting on the first coat. Attention is given to ensure a leveled and straight surface.

Here the final coat is applied.

Great attention is given to the creation of a smooth surface that looks good in all lightning.

The final face preparing for painting.
