A 100 year old plaster
lobby ceiling has had its glory days and
needed some serious repair jobs. As you can see,
the original plaster has deteriorated over the
years. This bad looking ceiling is an example of
a perfect job for Bosco Plastering Company. In a
matter of days, we made this ceiling look just
the way it did a hundred years ago. Talk about
going back in time..
After removing all damaged plaster,
we started by mixing the brown coat for the
finish coat.
Here, you can see us applying the
first coat of plaster called the brown coat.
Here you see the brown coat ready
for the finished coat.
These two photographs show
the finish coat being applied. It is this job
that separates the good from the bad.
Nobody wants sanding done
in a living area as it creates dust that is
difficult to get rid of. It requires skill and
experience to apply this finish coat in a
professional manner without the need for sanding.
This is the final result. No
sanding. Ready for paint.
